From start to finish we can assist you with any or all of the steps associated with the process of building your new home:

Unlike traditional framed homes that are built on-site from dimensional lumber, timber frame and log homes are first constructed at the manufacturer's production facility. The component logs or beams are carefully selected and then meticulously joined together by experienced craftsmen. The experience and attention to detail by the manufacturer's staff is truly an art inspired by a passion for perfection. Your new home will be as tight and solid decades from now as it was the day it was built.

Once the structure has been completed, each piece is numbered as it is disassembled and packed for shipping to your site and final reassembly. Depending on the time of year and complexity of your plans, this process can take from several weeks to several months.

While your new timber frame or log home is being built, Swiftwater Custom Homes will work with you to prepare your home site to receive your timber frame or log shell. We can install access roads, utilities and septic systems in addition to preparing your home site and building a foundation.

Once your timber frame or log home component package is delivered, a Swiftwater Custom Homes team member will be on hand to meet the truck with a crane and other equipment to begin the process of reassembling the numbered components in their final location (see large image above left). We will install the roof, insulation, doors, windows, interior walls and floor, electrical, plumbing, cabinetry and other components required to turn the shell into a livable home.
